BAMBU

Restaurants in Bahrain

After almost three months, I and my friends decide to meet out for dinner.

It has been a while since the last time we had a get together in a Korean Restaurant, Da Rae Jung, where food is quite expensive I would say but not that exquisite, well from my taste of food.–> Actually, it’s not that bad haha! But the fact that I do not like much of Korean food says it all.

Again, it’s a Monday Club on a Tuesday night dinner!

After suggesting a lot of options from different fine-dine restaurants, we finally decided to try BAMBU!

It ’s a variety of Chinese, Thai, Vietnam cuisine. If you are craving for Chinese food, definitely I would suggest the superb food of BAMBU.

The price is about BD12.500 per head but alcohol is not included if you want to go for with unlimited alcohol, the price would be BD16.

BAHAY KUBO

Restaurants in Bahrain

I LOVE HOME FOOD BUT I PREFER TO EAT OUT– one of my quotations.

Since I hardly cook at all, I always have the time to track down all the nice Restaurants around the area.

As I do not eat much during weekdays but on Weekends, I always treat myself to something extraordinary, this is what we call, the cheat night.

This weekend, I craved for something traditional.

We went to this Filipino Restaurant that is owned by a good friend of mine. This is something just like a home-food in a restaurant.

The taste of Filipino food.

BAHAY KUBO.

Their specialty is Crispy Pata ( pork leg) but I ordered something different.

This mouth-watering ” Kare- Kare” ( this is a traditional Filipino recipe made of Oxtail, beef tripe and vegetables cooked in thickened peanut butter), is also one of my favorite in this restaurant. They served it hot in a pot.

image

And of course the all time-Filipino favorite, “Sinigang na baboy”, ( Pork stew in Tamarind Broth). This tamarind sour soup is better off to eat with rice.

image

For starter/appetizer, “Calamari”. This is a  batter coated squid- deep fried squid rings.

…and a lemonade and sago and gulaman for refreshment.

..and it’s kinda affordable to have spent around BHD11 ( around One thousand three hundred in peso conversion) for two people.

Me and my friend Nicole.

If you want to feel at home away from our home and craving for something homely, I’m highly recommending BAHAY KUBO FILIPINO RESTAURANT, one of the best, tidiest not to mention that top of the line quality service.

What Bahrain is all about

BH

Bahrain is an archipelago made up of 33 islands located off the coast of SA.

With a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-denominational society, Bahrain is an attractive destination for expat families.

Bahrain is the freest economy in the MENA region, and among the “mostly free” economies worldwide.

What more can you ask for than living a tax-free lifestyle?

A small island where everything is within your reach.

The food is cheap, (well, aside from a little bit expensive but manageable flat rents, everything would be perfect), because the cost of living is not that high.

Not much of a language barrier because English is their second dialect.

image

Simple life. Simple Living. Easy to find jobs. What else?

You’ve got the best of everything in BH. From food to drinks to bars, to affordable hotels. Although this isn’t a tourist spot or a holiday destination as there isn’t much of a place to see, the fact that you can go around the whole Bahrain in just a day, this place is definitely good for beginners.

BH at night.

Been here for almost a decade now and I would say that I have already adopted their simple ways of living.

Isn’t it just comfortable working in a Company that would provide you with the easiest mode of transportation going in and out of work? A pick and drop service directly at your doorsteps and send you back home? Well, most of the Companies in Bahrain do that.

Or isn’t it just comfortable that everything is within your reach? Everywhere is almost nearby. A supermarket by walk, a Hospital by walk, A shopping Mall by walk, No hassles of going anywhere.

Restaurants are almost everywhere. From Asian cuisine, Chinese, American, Europian,  Mediterranean, fusion, vegan, vegetarian, whatever your choice is, are always easy to find. You won’t have a hard time finding your own list of delicacies.

I just find it easy and more comfortable to live here.

Although just like any other Country, safety relies on your own precautions.

Overall, I just love this place this much. My home…away from home!

Myself in BAHRAIN

So it was like I’ve been everywhere in Bahrain for the past years.

I’ve been everywhere here, been to a lot of places, did a lot of activities, ate in a different Restaurants corners to corners, from affordable to expensive food, gained a lot of friends and even lost some of them in time.

This is the Country I should say I’ve gotten all my life experiences in general,  personal & professional, made a lot of friends and lost some at the same time, met different kinds of people from different walks of life, learned to be strong, and confident, and enabled myself to face all life trials and accomplishments,  been through ups and downs and survived them all, and most important,  taught me a lot of lessons that made me to where I am right now.

This is my second home. Where I started everything. This is literally where I grew up. From my partying younger days to my home-body days. Where my weekends are now spent at home, a lot of sleeping, movie marathons, online games, music, and home food…with the husband & now with our toddler.

I’ve made a lot of memories here and at the same time I’ve kept a lot of photographs but of course, it would not fit in one blog if I started from the beginning.

Here are just a few photos of mine.
